- Submerge all nappies, put a timer on for between 30-45 minutes, no longer.
- Drain tub, do not wring out, rinse with hot water in top loader, or by hand.
- Put them through your new and improved wash cycle on hot, with your strong detergent.

How can I make my nappies white again?
Just hang your nappies out in the sun, winter or summer, and they’ll bleach naturally. Whether you’re wet or drypailing, don’t leave nappies for more than two days before washing. Otherwise you’ll end up with a pile of stinky stained nappies. You’re best to wash everyday if possible.
Can you use Napisan on reusable nappies?

Harsh stain removers such as Vanish, Napisan, bicarbonate of soda and / or vinegar, or bleach should be avoided. To use these products risks damaging the fibres of your nappies (especially bamboo) and they should definitely not be used on wool.

If a mark is pink, and are light imprints from the elastic, all is fine and they should disappear within a few minutes. If a mark is dark red or purple, and a deep imprint on the skin that doesn’t disappear after a few minutes, then the cloth nappy is on too tight & possibly chafing.

Take 30g (1/3 lid) of powder and mix it with full lid of warm water. Mix this vigourously. Apply the solution directly to the dried-on stain, covering the surface of it only. Rub the mix into the stain.
How do you get poop out of cloth nappies?
Some parents use a diaper sprayer (sprayers that attach to your toilet like mini-showerheads) while others swish the diaper around in the toilet’s bowl. Even using a spray bottle full of tap water will work. Just be sure to spray or swish until the poop is removed. Shop for diaper sprayers online.
How do you soften reusable nappies?
To soften your nappies, rub them together to reactivate the fibres. Alternatively put them in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes before hanging them out to line dry.
