How long do you need at Space Centre Leicester?

We suggest four to five hours, but to be honest it differs from visitor to visitor. You get a 30 minute planetarium show included. Add to this three exhibition decks in the Rocket Tower and six exhibition galleries in the main building and it can be a full day.

Is the national space Centre good for 3 year olds?

Small Space at the Space Centre Small space is for children aged 4 and under. Although children aged 4 and over can visit on this day it is aimed at younger children and there weren’t many older children there when we visited. The point of small space is to have various themed activities on throughout the day.

How long does it take to go around the National Space Centre?

We suggest 3-4 hours to enjoy the galleries and Planetarium show. You can add 60-90 minutes for a light lunch, or afternoon tea, as well as free time in the shop.

We suggest that the Centre is best for children aged 8-14, however, we do have content suitable for children from 5+, hence the free ticket for children under this age. We also host Toddler Days and Space Lates for younger and older guests.

A very thoughtfully curated place. The exhibits were designed by people who have a real passion for space exploration and the rare ability to convey it to all ages and levels of knowledge. The only downside was the dismal restaurant area.

£14 for an adult admission is a great price and is reasonable due to the planetarium show. Overall would recommend, even for those who aren’t massive space lovers – I still it! For 2 adults I would say it will take 3-4 hours to get round.
