What is geetham in music?
Geetam, (Sanskrit: गीतम्; gītaṃ) the simplest music form in Carnatic music, was created by Purandara Dasa in order to introduce talas with sāhityaṃ (lyrics). Gītaṃ literally means “song” in Sanskrit.
